Two of of our Warrior Passion Team Members are certified PADI and Handicapped Scuba Diving Instructors. This means we can certify Disabled Vets to their ability level in Scuba Diving. This includes disabilities such as amputation, paraplegic, quadriplegic, blindness, PTSD, TBI, and more.
Why Scuba Diving? Because it is both physically and psychologically therapeutic. When you are under water, you are virtually weightless. This is a world with no gravity, and weightlessness has been shown to relieve pressure and pain. However, there is a whole world to discover under the surface of the ocean offering virtually unlimited adventures and challenges. Scuba Diving presents Disabled Vets with new challenges and adventures, and they will embark on that journey along-side a fellow Veteran. We are passionate about Scuba Diving, and can't wait to dive in with you!!
If you are a Disabled Veteran interested in becoming a Certified Scuba Diver, please email Joe@warriorpassion.org. No Scuba Diving experience is necessary.
If you are interested in becoming a Handicapped Scuba Diving Buddy or Instructor, please get in touch with us at Joe@warriorpassion.org. No experience necessary. We can certify you as an Open Water Scuba Diver, then as a Certified Handicapped Scuba Diving Buddy.
